Current website operation

CarboxylicAcids.com provides educational content and sourcing research. This version has no analytics, advertising runtime scripts, affiliate tracking, pixels, session replay, heatmaps, chat widgets, embedded third-party media or tag managers. Its site code does not forward browser events to a server or tracking provider. Fonts and site assets are served from this website.

Google AdSense ownership verification uses a static google-adsense-account meta tag in the page head and a public ads.txt publisher record. These identify publisher ca-pub-2328556174888680 to Google's crawler. They do not execute JavaScript, contact Google from your browser, set advertising cookies or display ads. Google's crawler can request these public files; those requests involve ordinary hosting delivery and logs. The AdSense advertising script is not loaded in this version. Verification and seller authorization do not mean advertising is active or that Google has approved the site.

Reading pages and using local downloads do not require acceptance of optional tracking. There is no optional tracking consent banner while no optional services are enabled.

Page delivery and hosting logs

Delivering a page involves processing connection information such as your IP address, requested URL, time, browser information and request headers. The hosting provider may keep access and security logs for delivery, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. The owner's AWStats report contains aggregate request and HTTP-status statistics, including referrer and client information derived from hosting records; these are not a count of verified human visits.

The hosting provider's identity, detailed log configuration, access controls and retention schedule have not been confirmed for this notice. We do not claim a fixed retention period or automatic deletion. Contact us for questions about hosting records. Necessary delivery and security processing is distinct from optional advertising or analytics.

Contact messages and service providers

If you email info@carboxylicacids.com, the publication receives the information you send, including your email address, message and attachments, to respond to enquiries, assess corrections or discuss commercial proposals. Email providers process those communications. There is no connected website contact or supplier-routing backend in this version.

Messages may remain in the mailbox and provider backups. A fixed deletion schedule and the email provider's retention settings have not been verified; no automatic deletion promise is made. Please avoid sending sensitive information. Hosting and email providers process information to provide their respective services. Information may also need to be disclosed in response to valid legal obligations or to address abuse.

Forms, storage and downloads

Directory filters, comparisons, checklists and sourcing worksheets operate in your browser. The site code does not submit these entries to us or suppliers. A downloaded brief is a file on your device; copied text is placed on your clipboard at your request. Your browser may retain form values or downloaded files according to its own settings.

The publication scripts set no tracking cookies or browser identifiers and write no consent preference while optional services are absent. Ordinary browser caching is used for page assets. This statement does not promise that the hosting infrastructure never processes IP addresses or keeps logs.

A security challenge was observed on a WordPress probe URL during the October 19, 2026 audit. Its response sets a first-party cookie named hc_js_gate to mark a browser check, with a stated one-hour lifetime. This is security processing rather than optional measurement; its host-side trigger rules and any associated server retention have not been verified. It was not observed on the ordinary content pages checked.

Links and commercial status

Opening supplier, reference or other external links takes you to a separate website, which can receive your connection information and apply its own privacy and cookie practices. Those sites control their own processing. Unpaid supplier links are not represented as affiliate relationships. See our commercial disclosure.

Planned optional services — inactive

Advertising, analytics and affiliate tracking are not active. Before enabling any optional collection, we will identify each service, recipient, data type and purpose here and request affirmative consent with optional categories off by default. The intended choices are Accept optional tracking, Reject optional tracking and Manage preferences, offered with comparable prominence to all visitors. Browsing, scrolling, inactivity or closing a notice will not grant consent.

Optional tags, pixels, beacons, identifiers, embeds and associated requests will stay blocked until permission is given. Google measurement, if introduced, must use basic behavior with tags blocked, with no pre-consent cookieless pings. Necessary delivery and security remain available.

If controls are activated, a persistent footer Privacy choices control will let you change choices or withdraw. Future collection must stop after withdrawal; declared first-party tracking storage will be cleared where feasible. Global Privacy Control will keep optional collection off. Materially new purposes or recipients will require a new choice.

Future Google advertising — conditional information

Google is the intended third-party advertising provider if AdSense is activated after review and the required setup. No Google advertising request is made by this version. Before activation we will disclose the actual Google entities and selected advertising vendors, their purposes, data and applicable retention information. Google and those vendors may collect and process IP addresses, device and browser information, page URLs, ad interactions, cookies, web beacons and other identifiers to deliver, measure and secure ads, prevent fraud and, when authorized, personalize advertising. Information may be shared with Google and selected advertising partners and processed in other countries under the applicable provider terms and safeguards.

Personalized ads may use previous visits to this and other websites. Non-personalized ads use contextual information instead of past behavior, but may still use cookies or identifiers for measurement, frequency capping or fraud prevention; they are not automatically exempt from consent requirements. We will not enable either mode through optional scripts before the consent required by our site settings and applicable rules. Selecting a browser or Google advertising preference does not itself grant consent on this website.

Read how Google uses information from partner sites, Google advertising technologies, Google My Ad Center and industry advertising choices. These links open external services only when followed; they do not activate ads here. You can manage Google personalization in My Ad Center and use browser controls to restrict cookies; some opt-outs depend on your browser or account.

Before serving ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will integrate and test a Google-certified consent management platform with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The prepared local controls are not a Google-certified CMP, do not generate TCF consent signals and cannot substitute for that integration. Where optional services are enabled, website Privacy choices will let you reject or withdraw consent without losing access to content. Our present verification-only setup requires no advertising consent choice.

Future consent records and your choices

The prepared controls, when active, will remember only the notice version, service configuration, selected categories, choice action and timestamp in first-party local storage named ca-privacy-choice. The planned preference lifetime is 180 days, checked by the browser; clearing browser storage removes it sooner. Missing, invalid, expired or outdated choices leave optional services blocked. These controls create no server-side consent record and do not add fingerprinting or full-IP logs to prove consent. A local record can be edited or deleted and is not independently verified proof.

Server-side consent logging is not implemented. Any future server record requires a defined, disclosed retention period before use. Information already received by a third party cannot be recalled by deleting a browser preference.

For privacy questions or requests relating to access, correction or deletion, email info@carboxylicacids.com. Applicable rights depend on your location and the processing involved; we may need enough information to locate a record and verify the request. You can clear browser data at any time.

Depending on the law that applies and the processing involved, privacy rights may include access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction of sensitive-information use, opting out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, and appealing a denied request. Email the contact above to exercise a right or request an appeal; we may need to verify a request or an authorized agent's authority. We will assess requests under applicable law and will not discriminate for exercising applicable rights. This verification-only site does not send visitor information to an advertising provider for sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Global Privacy Control keeps the prepared optional services off. Before future advertising is enabled, an accessible Privacy choices / Do Not Sell or Share control and applicable opt-out signals must be integrated and tested with the actual vendors. Clearing local preferences cannot remove data already received by a provider.
